The Papuduk Book Set aims to raise children's awareness of animal rights and nurture their love for nature, appealing to different age groups.

Papuduk the rabbit, a character from the stories that Sabancı Foundation Board of Trustees Member Serra Sabancı heard from her grandmother during childhood, embarks on new adventures through the storytelling of Sabancı Foundation Changemaker Tolga Öztorun and creative drama educator Lider Hepgenç, accompanied by the colorful illustrations of Ece Zeber. These stories, reviewed under the expert guidance of Prof. Dr. Feyza Çorapçı, aim to reach children all across Turkey through Tekir Publishing.
Designed for children aged 7 to 9, the books follow Papuduk as it introduces young readers to fundamental concepts of animal rights and ecology. Each book also includes engaging activities and thought-provoking questions to help reinforce what children have learned.
Papuduk Children’s Books focus on two main themes: animal rights and nature/environment. Through engaging stories, children develop empathy and cooperation, while environmental topics such as pollution and climate change raise awareness and encourage active citizenship.
The series is complemented by two activity books—Papuduk’s Animal Rights Activity Book and its sequel Papuduk’s Love for Nature Activity Book—which offer play-based, hands-on activities designed to support the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children aged 4 and above.
Additionally, an Implementation Guide for Educators—developed in collaboration with Sabancı Foundation, Öğretmen Ağı, and Tekir Kitap—provides activities to foster critical thinking on these themes. The guide includes both introductory and in-depth exercises, recommendations for inclusivity, useful resources, and a glossary.
